To all of our wonderful clients and friends of rituals in hair and skin,
We are thankful and grateful for all of you and your support over the 19 years we have serviced you all and our community. These are crazy times and we all need to dig deep to keep ourselves centered . The big “Reset” as is the new phrase during this pandemic is happening in so many ways in our lives and we are not immune to this .
As the owner of Rituals , I have had to make a hard business decision and have had to separate the emotion from the reality of how this is affecting our ability to do business in this environment of closures and insecurity of income to earn a living . I have accepted an offer to purchase our property that Rituals in operating in , and as of March 1st , the new owners of 159 St. Anne’s Road will take possession. We have talked to many of you in person , and we are sorry if we have not yet connected with you, but of course we are very busy catching up with appointments from closing November 11th. With only one day’s notice of closure and one day’s notice to open, it has left us with very little time left in this space to service you all. We are doing our best and know that we value all of you.
As of SATRUDAY , FEBRUARY 13TH , will be the last day that we are servicing clients at rituals in hair and skin. We are still there until FEBRUARY 27TH, TO SELL WHATEVER RETAIL IS LEFT AND FIXTURES, SO CHECK IN TO OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS FOR THE ITEMS FOR SALE AND THE SAVINGS THAT WE ARE OFFERING .
New adventures await us, and this is bitter /sweet for sure.
We will be joining forces with FIRST IMPRESSIONS SALON, 1631 ST.MARY’S , (204) 255 -3599 AS OF MARCH 9TH. WE WILL STILL HAVE OUR PHONE NUMBER (204)452-1182 UP AND RUNNING UNTIL MAY 1st FOR ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS, ETC.
Gwen and her team , have graciously accepted us into their business and we are excited to start this new journey with them. They are also an Aveda Salon, and have been in business for 27 years.
KRISTINA WILL BE THERE FULL TIME , NATALIE ON SATURDAYS, RIZWANA PARTTIME , AND JENNA PART TIME.
On a personal note;
I am thankful that I have had this journey in my career and as a hair artist, educator, mentor, business owner , and I know I have encountered many people on my journey. Some have appreciated what I do , some not, but I know that I stayed true to my values , morals and in my heart was always wanting to them to succeed, whether they were supportive of me or not. I know I cannot be all to everyone, but I do know I can learn , appreciate all of the experiences and people that have helped to shape who I am today. I thank all of my peers that I have mentored, and those who have mentored me, without you also, I would not be who I am today.
To my dear husband and family, thank you for encouraging me in my dreams and supporting me throughout. You have been through all the up and downs , and know that I love you dearly.
To all of the team members that contributed to Rituals , whether it be big or small, I thank you for that. As a leader , you want to always grow and to be able to make everyone happy, however, you know this is impossible. I always look inward to see how I could be a better leader , and when mistakes are made , I remind myself that I am only human. I have given so much energy to others, the business and now it is time for me.
I only hope that those that did not share my vision or dreams, know that as a salon owner , you give away so much of yourself to all those you work with. We are passionate about what we do, and we sacrifice to make sure those around you can excel. As I found out , when I became the leader, that you only know what that means truly when you walk in that person’s shoes!!!
Sincerely and passionately ,
Kristina Owner /Principal

Congratulations and much love Trish
Kristina, I’m saddened to hear this. As a fellow hairstylist and owner, I know how hard you worked and how much of your soul and heart went into everything that you did for your business and your staff.
But as they say, when one door closes another one opens.
Best of luck in your new adventure. I know you will be a huge success. Happy for you. Happy to know you!
We are all having new adventures due to covid! Enjoy!
